Hi, i’m Florian Kuhlmann, a creative mind, nerd, coder and artist from Düsseldorf, Germany.

I’m part of the last generation that remembers life before computers, the internet, and smartphones took over our lives.

Festival with temporary installations, performance, participation

The KUNST BASIS EBERTPLATZ is a festival for art in public spaces that took place for the first time in 2017 at Ebertplatz. At that time, the discourse between UNORT/KUNSTBASIS/DENKMAL took place around questions about the urban planning, urban, sociological and cultural structure of the largest inner-city square in Cologne. The demand for the repair of the water kinetic sculpture was successfully celebrated just a few months later with the reopening of the fountain sculpture under the title “WATER MARCH!” The city and politicians decided on an interim use concept that will promote the commitment around Ebertplatz until the planned conversion as a cultural location for contemporary art and for cultural participation formats until 2024.
