Hi, i’m Florian Kuhlmann, a creative mind, nerd, coder and artist from Düsseldorf, Germany.

I’m part of the last generation that remembers life before computers, the internet, and smartphones took over our lives.

The exhibition “WESTERN GODS” by Florian Kuhlmann and Dennis Rudolph addresses the role of Western culture in the digital era and the merging of reality and virtuality. The artists explore the idea of “Western Gods” as digital manifestations and reflections of a once-dominant culture.

The works in this exhibition stem, among other things, from a dialogue between the artists, in which they discuss the significance of technology and digital media for our society and identity. It questions how technological developments, especially in Silicon Valley, influence and transform Western culture.

The exhibition highlights the hybrid reality in which virtual and physical worlds merge, drawing parallels to Greek mythology and the Baroque period to illustrate the historical development of Western culture.
